Tinda Gosht

Getting the family to eat tinda-a challenge. Cook it with mutton-the dish is wiped out clean.Tindas included.
I for one love this summer veggie-cooked simple with onion-garlic-tomato, or in the typical gravy-or stuffed with masala.Or even with methi and malai. But this recipe comes out tops!
Tinda Gosht
750 grams mutton
2 onions, chopped
4-5 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon ginger, grated
1 tomato diced
1 teaspoon coriander powder
½ teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon chilli powder(use more if you want)
½ teaspoon garam masala
Salt
Water
6 tindas, peeled and halved
4 tablespoons oil
Heat oil, adds cumin, sauté the garlic, and then adds ginger.Stir, add the onions.Caramalize till light brown.Add the tomatoes. Cook till mushy. Season with coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala and salt.Add mutton and water just to cover mutton.Pressure cook till almost done.
Open lid of cooker, add tindas, cook till tindas are just done and there is just enough masala to coat the mutton and tindas.
